Last week was a busy one, I’ve got quite a few Sydney based projects on the go and two Melbourne based e-decorating projects as well as fitting in my buying and styling work for and last week we shot a gorgeous room in the Hunter Valley. It took weeks of planning and hours of driving all over Sydney picking up and dropping off props but it all came together smoothly and we enjoyed a two day trip to style the shoot. It was a team effort with photographer and stylist Marj even climbing scaffolding to get the perfect shot! That’s dedication!
Pretty much everything you see here will be available for sale on The Home in a fortnight so stay tuned!
My Friday night was spent switching over the old site to the new design (I know how to party on a Friday…) with the help of my lovely web designer and developer Mel from – she’s very patient and a dream to work with (sorry for all the last minute changes Mel!)
What do you think of the new look?
Me thinks the cockatoo would fit in nicely on my desk….
Some of you may already be aware that I work part-time for The Home () as a buyer selecting homewares, rugs, cushions, décor and furniture for the site. I also work on some of the shoots we feature in the with our lifestyle stylist Marj. We shot this gorgeous nursery last week, it was a real effort working with the peg board and hanging art from it but it’s turned out beautifully!
I’m working on a few nursery projects at the moment and used this shoot as inspiration!
What do you think?
What’s not to love about a pom pom trim?! Seriously.
Remember a few months ago I was on the hunt for a piece of furniture that needed a little bit of TLC for a project asked me to be part of? Well here he is in all his glory after a lovely limewash finish and some love from (Thanks Kellie!). I had some help from my lovely upholsterer Peter from too because let’s face it, there’s no way I could have made the seat look like that!
He’ll be up for auction on May 9th with all funds being donated to Salvo Stores.
I think I might have to bid on him… Don’t want him to leave me!
Oh. Em. Gee. Cuteness to the max!
