Remember a few months ago I was on the hunt for a piece of furniture that needed a little bit of TLC for a project asked me to be part of? Well here he is in all his glory after a lovely limewash finish and some love from (Thanks Kellie!). I had some help from my lovely upholsterer Peter from too because let’s face it, there’s no way I could have made the seat look like that!
He’ll be up for auction on May 9th with all funds being donated to Salvo Stores.
I think I might have to bid on him… Don’t want him to leave me!
I’ve got a weakness for candles. It’s no secret. And there’s just something special about the Palm Beach Collection candles…Perhaps it’s because I grew up going to Palm Beach as a kid and still get blown away by the beauty of that beach.
A few weeks ago I met Kirsten Walker, one half of Candles and had a great time talking candles and scents!
The PBC stand at the recent trade fairs was hands down my favourite and it’s all due to the talented peeps at in Newport. They also styled the recent PBC photoshoot. Aren’t the images just gorgeous?!
Ok, confession, I didn’t actually buy this book, it was given to me at Shaynna’s Taubmans high tea I attended the other day. But it’s absolutely fab, lots of practical advice for homeowners looking to either engage an interior designer or to DIY decorate.
Highly recommend it! Buy it .

I visited the Signature Prints warehouse/showroom last week and was lucky enough to watch their talented team printing some custom wallpapers while I was there. It is such a fascinating and special process. I could have stayed all day to watch! It is all done by hand, painstaking! Each piece that is screen printed needs to be aligned with the piece before it so that it’s a consistent print the whole way through, one millimetre can throw the whole thing out….. This peacock feather print is a custom colour for a little girl’s bedroom. Lucky her!

Last Thursday night I attended the Design Hunter’s first birthday. is a gorgeous homewares and furniture store in Bronte run by Mel Bonney, a super talented interior stylist and designer. Her store is one of the most beautifully styled and merchandised I’ve seen in Sydney, Mel’s eye for design is just fab! If you’re in Sydney and haven’t found Mel’s store yet, it’s so worth a look.
How amazing was the cheese and fruit display…. YUM!
Mother’s Day is creeping up… Have you thought about what to buy mum? So many of my customers purchase these sweet as gifts for friends or for their mother’s.. If I was a mum I think I’d like to receive one!

A fortnight ago I met with a client who has renovated a gorgeous little apartment in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, she had done a fabulous job but when it came to the courtyard she was stuck for ideas so called me in. I will admit I don’t have much experience with courtyards but we both had some great ideas and now we are getting stuck into putting our plans into action. One thing we are definite on is a vertical garden.
These guys – – were featured on a few weeks ago and look like they do a great job so hopefully we can get this vertical garden up and running in no time!
Have you ever installed a vertical garden before? Do you love it? Do you have any tips?!
