Citrusy colours all combined in an amazing bouquet of sorts! Wouldn’t this make an awesome colour scheme for a room!
Goodbye Autumn. Hello Winter. After visiting a client last week I drove down Burns Road, Wahroonga – one of my favourite streets on Sydney’s North Shore & looked up at the naked trees that were full of Autumn colour a few weeks ago..
It seems that Sydney has really decided to embrace Winter this week. It’s chillier during the days and time for woolly blankets at night, time to bring out the wooly blankets and stock up on some tea!
Last week Adairs sent me a nice box of wintery goodies. In the box was a lovely taupe I had only just put an old woollen blanket on my bed two nights before so I swapped it out for this new one and noticed that night that I didn’t wake up chilly at all so thumbs up for this one! I also received the and they are not wrong, so soft! They are 500 thread count but the nicest thing about these sheets is they have this sheen that makes them look as soft as they feel.
I was in an Adairs store last week with a client looking for new bedding for her house and while we were waiting at the counter I spotted Mercer + Reid’s ‘Aroma Wash’ Laundry Detergent and my client ended up buying two bottles to wash her new sheets with. I didn’t buy any at the time but luckily there was a bottle of the laundry detergent in the box so I used it when I washed the sheets and it made them smell amazing, it means you can do away with washing powder and fabric softener and just use a cap full of this stuff. Genius.
Right now are having their massive mid year sale so if you need to stock up on bedding, towels, flannelette sheets or quilts, now is the time to do it! Quilts and doonas are often quite pricey so if you do need something now’s the time to buy!
Once again Loni has outdone herself with a FABULOUS new issue of .. Look carefully and you’ll see an ad Loni created for Nest. Pretty isn’t it?! I’m wishing I was in Brisbane so I could visit & they look like the kind of place I’d like to live in! What’s your favourite bit from this issue?
This NYC apartment belongs to actress Molly Sims and I’m so jealous it’s not mine.
That breakfast nook is beyond amazing, grey tones and a punch of pink. Delicious!
Molly’s interior designer is the amazingly talented – her portfolio is full to bursting, you must check it out!
No. 1: . I read this in one sitting over the weekend, anyone who has an interest in furniture should read this book. It lists the 7 pieces of furniture you need to carry you through your life.

A selection of my Enjoy flameless candles!
I first discovered in 2010 and have been in love ever since. I’ve lost count of the number of flameless Enjoy candles I have but I know I’m not done collecting them! Mine are set to turn on at 6.30pm each night for 4 hours and always make me smile when I look at them. I burn through candles like there’s no tomorrow (excuse the pun) so to have these beauties last for 450 hours on 2 AA batteries is ideal – economical and pretty!
Lisa Carrick Founder and Director of Enjoy (and an absolutely delightful lady!), has been a busy bee recently releasing a stunning new range of Lisa sent me some to see for myself and they look truly amazing at night and smell sensational. There aren’t enough words to describe how much I love these candles so pop over to the Enjoy Lighting website and check them out for yourself!
Never over look the smaller items in your home. They are often the most important pieces that make the room feel cosy, welcoming and inviting and bring the room together. My favourite things to add are candles, cushions, throw rugs and a bunch of flowers (artificial or real). What are some of your favourites?
